Liquor Laws

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) was established February 23, 1998 under the Ontario Alcohol and Gaming Regulation and Public Protection Act, 1996. They are quasi-judicial regulatory agency that reports to the Minister of Government Services.

As the Hotel is only licensed/authorized to sell and serve alcoholic beverages that were purchased by the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario), no group may bring in their own alcohol to be served unless a Special Occasion Permit is obtained through the LCBO and a copy provided to the Event Manager prior to the event. Be aware that corkage fees would apply and there are some restrictions around this matter, please discuss with your Event Manager prior to confirming these types of details. The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19.

Your Event Manager may provide a copy of some of the applicable Ontario liquor laws upon request.
